6/16/2015: Exodus is done!
What is this?
Reddit Reads the Bible is a project by the users of /r/Christianity, a subreddit of Reddit.com. You can find us here. The purpose of this project is to create our own audio Bible from the lips of the members of our community.
What translation did you use?
The World English Bible (WEB.) The reason for choosing this translation was that it is completely free and in the public domain. In fact, it was created for that exact purpose. Other translations are under copyright and need permission from their publishers for us to use them for a project like this.
The WEB is an update based on the 1901 American Standard Version. You can learn more about it and read it in its entirety at http://www.ebible.org/web/

How can I get involved?
We're currently working on the Book of Genesis right now, but our goal is to read the Bible in its entirety. This includes the deuterocanonical books (known also as the apocrypha), such as Tobit and Judith.
